We went there last night for my husband's birthday. Our server, Bri, was extremely personable and attentive. She was so sweet! The food was absolutely incredibly. I had the ribeye, mashed potatoes, Burgundy and an espresso martini and my husband had the filet, man n cheese, shared wine and an Irish coffee. They're artists with their craft, delectable food and drinks. Gorgeous atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

What an excellent dining experience. We stopped in before catching a show at the theater. For starters we had the pork belly which was served over white rice. The pork belly was so tender and delicious. It had a bit of a kick to it. For my entree I had the burger and my girlfriend had the pierogies. She absolutely loved them. My burger was cooked perfectly, the only complaint I had was the bread was a bit soggy and did not hold up well to the juicy and perfectly cooked burger. The service was really good. They took care of our drink orders and our food came out quick. We will definitely stop again when we go to the next show.

We went to Max Dowtown for dinner, it was awesome! If you're looking for upscale delicious steak house that's the place! The attention to details on the service and specially the food make it worth the trip to Hartford.

Simply outstanding! From the moment I mentioned to the staff that I was following a vegan diet, they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Since butter was off-limits for my steak, my incredible server recommended a flavorful blackened rub that more than delivered on taste. The thoughtful touch of offering 0% alcohol wine made the experience even better. Every detail was handled with care, and I left with absolutely no complaints—just excitement for my next visit. Had a lovely time dining here! Was just passing through for business and a local recommended it to me. The food was wonderful but the best part was the staff ❤️ Would definitely recommend, even if you’re dining alone! :)

What a lovely evening- safe, convenient parking (included with a complimentary sticker for your parking ticket) in the same building as the restaurant. Beautiful decor and comfortable seating. Brendan, the manager at the host stand, greeted us with a sing songy welcome- which I LOVED. Our waiter, Jason, was patient, knowledgeable and kind. I had "High On Life" -a bourbon drink that was light and refreshing. Treated to a lovely olive oil focaccia bread, that stood well on it's own without the need for butter of doing oil. The Smoked Potato & Black Trumpet Mushroom Perogies were just charming-the date jam and Brie fondue elevated this side dish to a great starter for us. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts- with honey chili bacon glaze were some of the best Brussels I've ever had (and I typically order them if on a menu). A taste of the Shrimp Dumplings was received and that broth was very tasty. The Shave Cauliflower Salads Lemon Sumac Dressing needs to be bottled and sold- it was wonderful (and those almonds with apricots) We tried the Cod special (flavorful crisp skin and came with a delightful bean salad) and the Filet Oscar (perfectly cooked-and the lumps of crab and sauce) both were spectacular. Their pastry Chef had a wonderful plum cake with a flavorful ice cream, jam crumble and we tried the chocolate mousse- we brought quite a bit home and are looking forward to the leftovers. Highly recommend a visit and look forward to returning and trying some other dishes.

My family and I went to Max Downtown for my Moms Retirement party. My family has quite a few allergies and we were met with amazing accommodations! Our food came out absolutely amazing. We had the best experience and owe a great deal of it to Courtney, the best server any of us have ever met! She was not only on top of everything but was funny and became a part of our family! Thank you Courtney for making it a night we will never forget 💕

My son and daughter-in-law love Max downtown and they indulged me in a birthday dinner this evening, Right from the start our server, Eddie made sure we were filled on in every detail of that menu as he answered the questions and served us impeccably! I must say my birthday dinner was delicious from the hors d’oeuvres right to my main course which the chef was kind enough to honor my request for PN seared scallops, and they serve them with roasted brussels sprouts which I must say were the best I’ve ever had! The ultimate surprise was when Eddie brought over some crème brûlée with a happy birthday candle as I said I can’t say enough about this server. If I go back, I will definitely be requesting him! A word for the management and your marketing crew somehow you need to get across when people are booking online or maybe when they call to make a reservation to emphasize that you have valet parking in a parking garage because we ended up paying $20 across the street that’s all I’m saying I just think it’s something that would be beneficial to other people that spend hundreds of dollars on a meal and then end up with a $20 parking fee! I forgot to mention when we first arrived three girls yes three of your employees were hanging coats up while the three of us stood there waiting to be checked in that was absolutely rude!

Doing a review on Max downtown. It was amazing all the way to disturbing. But anyways, fortunately our server was Brett. I'll tell you he just was the 10 out of 10 for sure. He suggestions were great from starter's, main course and desserts and also coffee. Very good, we went on his suggestion. One was the Pan-roasted halibut, and another one was the prime ribeye spinalis. Also, we had tuna tar tar for an appetizer, and all the the sides were great. Banana pudding (notice empty plate lol) was great cherry's cristada was awesome and again. Brett was just class act we were fortunate to be placed in the bar area. It was nice and casual, definitely cold.... very cold. But anyways, the most disturbing thing was the general manager laying into one of the servers in public right at service area of bar. And we could hear it.... what shouldve been private. The GM was just quite honestly unprofessional. The food is amazing and again Brett is an amazing server if you can go there, ask for him.
